YOUR MISSION :
Lead, Inspire, and deliver Zuora’s pricing function, including cross functional alignment, pricing and package strategy, product portfolio management , profitable growth and governance.
THE OPPORTUNITY (AKA: Why you want this role over any other out there)
The Senior Director of Pricing Strategy will be responsible for the overall pricing strategy for Zuora’s portfolio of new and existing products and packages. This includes defining the strategies for monetization, pricing and customer adoption. Other activities include developing models and tools to aid sales in setting pricing for products and services. Analyze market price trends to ensure product prices are set competitively
Who are you? You are part of the finance team who will partner closely with Product Management, Product marketing, Sales, Revenue accounting and others to analyze product requirements, develop pricing proposals, set policies, implement best practices, define playbooks and ensure pricing compliance. The role will require someone who has a SAAS background or experience working with the industry.
You will have a high level of executive visibility and significant responsibility, being the subject-matter expert for pricing for all Zuora products and packages.
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE
- You will build a comprehensive pricing and packaging strategy and pricing model which ensures ease of implementation and market/field adoption
- You will clearly define our product portfolio and align with sales on our commercial strategy
- You will have a clear focus on profitable growth
- You will build processes that will scale with the growth of the company
- You will help build the most efficient pricing groups of SaaS Companies
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pricing analysis, or similar analytical roles
- Good understanding of SaaS pricing & licensing practices required
- Experience with a global technology firm or working with similar in a consulting or investment banking capacity.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in influencing and negotiation across different groups
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Highly flexible and adaptive, able to multi-thread across a number of simultaneous projects
- Team player - able to work cross-functionally
- MBA is preferred
