About the Team
The Workday Extend Solution Strategy team plays a meaningful role in supporting both deployment and subscription sales by expertly positing the value of the Extend platform and differentiating Workday’s services approach, as well as ensuring that our customers are set up to be successful in their deployment projects and meet their defined business objectives. This is done in concert with product development to ensure customer and implementation partner requirements are brought into the product roadmap and new features are appropriately positioned within the sales cycle. Our aim is to be trusted advisors to our prospects, customers, sales partners, and product owners.About the Role
As an Extend Solution Strategist, you will be an important team member supporting the Workday Sales and Services team in positioning and selling Extend business applications that enhance the Workday Core HCM and FINS Solutions while also helping to craft the right mix of services and support to ensure success for our customers, prospects, and partners. This role also allows you to work globally, supporting all Workday regions, with enablement, estimating methods, solution design, service packages, and contracting. We are looking for candidates that have been exposed to multiple areas within Workday, preferably to our sales cycle, to our delivery organization, and to our Financial and HCM Products
About You
Current or Prior Workday Experience
- 3+ years of Enterprise Architecture Experience for premier Software Solution Provider
- 5+ years of software or services sales/presales experience in a business-to-business environment is preferable, but not required
- Platform as a Service or Application Development experience.
- Experience leading or supporting solution-based sales process
- Experience with or exposure to top vendors, products, and services in Enterprise application space.
Other Qualifications (OQs)
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
- Executive level verbal and written communication skills.
- Excels at management of time and resources to support critical sales cycles.
- Standout colleague, with capability of working independently.
- Executive level presentation skills while participating in a fast-paced, sophisticated product and services sales cycle.
- Understand and effectively explain the benefits of a SaaS architecture.
- Ability to describe and explain technical architecture and integration concepts associated with application development

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
