About the TeamIn support of the growth in the number of Workday customers and Workmates, we are growing our Security Response team to continue to deliver world class Cybersecurity capabilities and inspire confidence and trust in Workday.
We are a highly visible Security Response function that is the first line of defense for Workday. Our team is responsible for both analytical and engineering Response functions which enables us to develop and grow diverse skills. We are a distributed team operating a Follow the Sun model that also likes to innovate and have fun!
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced technical manager to lead a team of dedicated analysts and engineers. This is a technical role with the understanding that you are already conversant in security automation, system security, network security, and incident response. If you are a passionate leader who loves being challenged, and who wants to be part of an expanding team applying innovative technology to protect our networks, then this role may be for you. 8+ years of security engineering experience
3+ years+ managing a security team
Experience in incident response, red teams, and/or threat hunting.
Keep Workday and our customers safe by researching, developing, and enhancing tools, techniques, and process improvements for security detection and response in accordance with current and emerging threat and attack vectors.
Provide strategic and tactical leadership to the Security Operations team, including identification of emerging threats and possible mechanisms to detect them.
Lead in the effort of finding known and unknown threats and understanding new adversary TTPs (Tactics, Techniques and Procedures).

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $192,000 USD - $288,000 USD
