About the Team

Welcome to Workday's Reporting and Analytics Platform team! This team owns improving and scaling of the underlying reporting and analytics engine to query and operate on large volumes of transactions for critically key business needs, interactive analytics and background extractions.

About the Role

We are looking for an incredible engineer to join Analytics’ backend execution engine team. The engine runs in a cloud based multi-tenanted architecture and processes more than 2.8 billion report executions monthly (growing 40% YOY). You will be focusing on scaling the engine for the largest HCM and FIN customers in the world as well as working on the next generation of the engine. About You

• You love working on challenging technical projects with some unknowns

• Passionate about reporting tools and functionality that solve customer problems

• You are customer centric and advocate customer delight

• You have experience with Java systems

• You advocate for code quality and the best development practices.

• You are a teammate and enjoy working with team members and collaborating across teams to build new solutions

• You are eager to learn Workday technologies, like Xpresso

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer

• 4+ years of coding in Java

Other Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science

• Basic understanding of writing SQL queries

• Superb communication skills with ability to articulate sophisticated technical ideas

• Highly motivated to determine how things work

• Experience with microservices and REST APIs
