About the Team

The Corporate Legal team supports Workday’s global business by providing innovative legal support related to corporate governance and global entity management. We partner closely with teams across Workday to support the company’s growth, innovation, and integrity by providing corporate secretarial support both domestically and internationally, facilitating US securities filings, and ensuring compliance with international corporate laws for all of our Workday entities.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Corporate Paralegal to lead our outstanding paralegal team, provide corporate secretarial and board support for our US public company, and drive innovative projects to help scale our fast-growing company. This role is perfect for anyone looking to expand their management experience, build partnerships with a variety of teams, and find creative ways to problem solve!

In this role, you’ll provide support for our expanding corporate practice including:

  • Supporting and managing our other corporate paralegals, including driving priorities and process creation, encouraging skill & career growth, and leading the international entity management function

  • A focus on corporate governance activities for Workday, Inc., including board support, annual statutory filings, and ongoing compliance matters

  • Preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports, including proxy statement planning, preparation, and execution, Section 16 filings, and other filings such as Forms 10-Q and 10-K

  • Partnering with Accounting, Payroll, Procurement, Real Estate, Tax, Treasury, and other Workday teams to ensure smooth collaboration, efficient communication, and clear scopes of work

  • Supporting other Corporate Legal team matters, which may include stock matters, M&A activity, and other projects

  • Managing the Corporate Legal team’s access to various software and subscriptions, maintaining relationships with third-party vendors, and helping to develop and manage the team budget

  • Helping to create and maintain scalable processes, internal team sites, FAQs, and self-service tools to support Workday’s growth

  • Performing special projects as assigned or requested; responsibilities may change with time and evolve based on skills, interest, and team needs

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of public company and US securities experience

  • 4+ years of global entity management experience, preferably at a high-growth, global company

  • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent

Other Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Standout colleague with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize, and achieve goals

  • Ability to engage with internal managers and employees at all levels as well as senior-level external parties; position requires a high degree of tact and diplomacy

  • Excellent at understanding complicated topics as well as finding streamlined solutions to complex issues that are practical and consistent with business objectives

  • Extremely high attention to detail

  • Tech savvy; proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google products (Drive, Docs, Sheets, File Stream, etc.); SmartSheets, Diligent Entities and Diligent Boards experience is a plus

  • Project management experience is a plus

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a great sense of humor and humility

Workday Pay Transparency Statement - United States

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $141,800 - $212,800

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $124,300 - $212,800
