About the TeamJoin a team of talented, dynamic and passionate software engineers, working with key architects, product managers, and other stakeholders delivering a new generation of on-demand Enterprise solutions designed to meet the needs of today's global businesses.
The team’s overall goal will be to accelerate the delivery of key Recruiting features in an agile environment while safeguarding the high quality our customers expect from Workday applications.
Workday is unique in that it builds enterprise software in the cloud on a single codeline through a continuous development model, allowing for rapid delivery of our software to our customers.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines, be passionate about building high quality enterprise applications and be innovative in their ideas.

About the Role:
Collaborate with the Product Manager and QA counterparts on functional design and analysis of requirements
Design and develop a product in a metadata-driven development environment
Create and maintain robust, efficient and maintainable code using an OO framework and class modeling
Create and maintain reliable automated tests
Troubleshoot customer reported issues
Learn from other team members through pair programming, code reviews, knowledge sharing, hackathons, etc.
4+ years experience with Web application development or SaaS (Software as a Service); UML is a plus.
This position is technical – the ideal candidate must be proficient in programming techniques, object-oriented languages, object modeling, and application design.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
Hands-on experience in building sophisticated rules based logic with many variables in distributed, and highly concurrent systems.
Profound understanding of Object Oriented programming.
Experience building large-scale enterprise-level software with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
Familiarity with software development practices, agile methodologies, and lean principles.
You have a track record of ensuring that features meet requirements and that internal partners are kept up to date throughout the development lifecycle.
Proven track record of ownership and taking accountability.
Experience with XML and Integration technologies.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $136,000 - $204,000
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $112,500 - $204,000
