Love what you do!Workday is looking for an experienced product manager who will discover and define customer problems and encourage solutions that generate measurable value and meet the needs of our holistic business. As a Product Manager on the Talent Optimization team, you will deliver products that champion our mission statement: "Empowering employees to discover their true passion and achieve their fullest potential". Our team supports several product areas, enabling you the opportunity to work on employee reviews, goals, feedback, check-ins, calibration, succession plans, and Manager Insights Hub. A highly motivated quick learner who enjoys solving creatively tough problems independently in a fast paced agile environment.
An outstanding operator who can lead tactical execution and coordination on complex initiatives across functions in an organized fashion while avoiding unnecessary overhead. Can lead projects effectively with high standards of accountability.
A naturally hardworking and experienced doer who can synthesize complex inputs and trade-offs into a compelling plan and direction with agreement from team members, contributors, and stakeholders.
A strong communicator, both verbal and written, who can easily and intuitively adapt content and form to various types of audiences. Be comfortable influencing others and collaborating with stakeholders.
A skilled and curious researcher who puts users at the center of ideation, design and execution and who has the ability to conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive landscape research, as well as primary user research.
In this role, you will:
Coordinate and lead product discovery to feed the strategic backlog in the Talent Enablement product area.
Form product theses about how to serve those markets, and collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to test and iteratively refine them.
Synthesize customer insights for developers to help advise the design of the product.
Write detailed product specifications, including UX mockups, and detailed user stories.
Work closely with product leads across the business to inform the portfolio product vision and long-term roadmap.
Be responsible for the release plan and functional backlog for your product area, and align it with all stakeholders and dependencies.
Set and track metrics for the Talent Enablement product area
Engage directly with customers in both structured and unstructured settings and communication.
Provide mentoring and leadership to more junior team members, encourage and empower.
Be an evangelist for Talent Optimization across the company. Be the product champion externally.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
4+ years in Product Management and/or domain experience
BA/BS degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the Talent & Performance Enablement and Human Capital Management space
Proven design and delivery record for cloud solutions
Solid understanding of software product design, UX, and UI fundamentals
Experience with Workday is highly desirable
