Workday is looking for a versatile finance professional to join the team as a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the North American Field Sales organization. This role will partner closely with the Revenue Operations/Field Sales and will be responsible for providing financial planning & analysis of operating expenses, headcount and project spending. A successful candidate will be a trusted advisor with the ability to build positive relationships with key partners across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the operational teams to develop annual financial plans and forecasts.
Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results to understand performance against plan/forecast. Recommend a course of action if risk is present. Develop insights on business performance based on the interpretation of financial results.
Drive improvement projects as the business continues to grow, such as: bookings reports, spend tracking, deals analysis, ROI analysis and benchmarking.
Identify ways to streamline reporting by recommending items for automation, re-structuring, or elimination.
Ensure monthly financial results are stated accurately and in accordance with GAAP. This includes preparation and posting of journal entries for expense. Ensure adequate internal controls are in place and audit guidelines are adhered to.
Actively manage and track vendor and headcount approvals and changes using Workday.
About You
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance.
Minimum 5 years related experience in finance or accounting (SaaS strongly preferred).
High proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides).
Experience in the application of accounting principles to periodic financial reporting, planning and forecasting.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
