About the TeamWe are the Customer Deployment Tools (CDT) engineering team at Workday! We are primarily responsible for delivering cloud-based software tools to onboard new customers and allow existing customers to uptake new Workday products and handle their application lifecycle. This includes tools for data transformation, validation, migration and loading of sophisticated data structures on live systems in the cloud.
About the Role
With an emphasis on teamwork, we develop solutions using the various technologies including Java, GitHub, Jenkins, and other technologies.
Crafting, implementing and handling all aspects of our tool portfolio where performance and resiliency will be essential to our team's success.
Be part of an agile software team to ensure engineering principles and quality are a core component of feature delivery.
Proactively identify bottlenecks and improvements across the Workday platform to improve the customer experience.
Work in a high trust and innovative environment where collaboration is essential.
- Bachelors or higher degree in a software engineering related field or equivalent.
- 6+ years’ experience in software development with extensive development experience in OOP language Java or Scala.
- 6+ years’ experience in software development with extensive development experience in OOP languages such as Java or Scala.
- 5+ years of experience designing and building REST based APIs, experience with test frameworks for your language of choice (TDD/BDD a plus)
- You see software development as a team activity and thrive in a highly Agile culture where you’re always guiding and learning.
- Defined strategy for build pipelines, continuous integration, deployment and monitoring utilities.
- Experience with distributed systems principles in a consumer internet or SaaS environment

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $142,400 - $213,600
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $135,300 - $240,000
