About the Team

Do you do your best work when collaborating with agile teams made up of some of the brightest engineers in the industry? The Financials Core Accounting team is in the center of it all and has touch points with nearly all other financial application teams. Our team’s overall goal is to provide high business value for our customers, by accelerating the delivery of our product features in an agile environment while safeguarding the high quality our customers expects from Workday financial applications.

About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and QA counterparts on the functional design and analysis of requirements

  • Design and develop a product in a metadata-driven development environment

  • Create and maintain robust, efficient and maintainable code using an object-oriented framework and class modeling

  • Build and maintain reliable automated tests

  • Fix customer reported issues

  • Mentor and learn from other team members through pair programming, code reviews, knowledge exchange, hackathons, etc.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • 3+ years Object-oriented design and development experience in an OO language (such as Java, Python, C#, C++, XO, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science

Other Qualifications

  • Must be a collaborative teammate with good verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong working knowledge of design and analysis of software for performance

  • Experience designing and developing business applications

  • Experience with UML, SaaS, XML and Integration technologies is a plus

  • You think the key to good object-oriented development is strong design patterns

  • You believe applications should be usable and configurable


Workday Pay Transparency Statement - United States

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $118,400 - $177,600


Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $112,500 - $204,000
