The Services Executive team includes a diverse range of skills and experience from across professional services, functional subject matter expertise and sales fields. The team plays a meaningful role in connecting Workday’s services and sales organizations; ensuring that we are supporting subscription sales by differentiating Workday’s services approach and methodology, as well as ensuring that our customers are set up to be successful in their deployment projects and meet their business objectives.
Our aim is to be trusted advisors to our prospects and customers, working to Workday’s core values of Customer Service and Integrity, and protecting Workday’s proven track record of customer happiness. Successful candidates will be passionate about working as part of an account team driving and supporting sales cycles; engaging with customers to develop deployment strategies and plans that meet their requirements; and leading detailed and sophisticated sales processes, preparing estimates, proposals and contracts.

About the Role

Workday is the leader in enterprise-class, software-as-a-service (SaaS) Human Capital Management and Financial Management solutions for handling global businesses. As a Workday Services Sales Executive for our Professional Services organization, you will be responsible for planning, management, and execution of all Professional Services business development activities in your area. You will be a key team member of the Workday Pre-sales Services team, working alongside Workday Account Executives, driving Workday Subscription sales across Workday’s market segments.

You’ll use your experience with consulting sales and project delivery to help prospects put together a plan for a successful project, including resources, timeline, and costs. You’ll employ effective selling strategies to successfully position Workday’s SaaS Solutions and Platform technologies as the efficient, modern alternative, and you will be a specialist in our innovative deployment methodology. You will work closely our Service Partners to help them plan successful projects and grow their business. What you’ll do:

  • Understand the competitive landscape and prospect needs so you can effectively position the value of our deployment methodology and Professional Services.
  • Work with Account Executive and Customer Success Managers to resolve Services Strategy for customer accounts.
  • Present Workday Customer Services overview and conduct services discovery sessions.
  • Build and validate Professional Services Proposals and high-level Project Plans.
  • Nurture mutually helpful relationships with Workday Service Partners.
  • Assess project team training needs for prospects and customers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data.
  • Handle, negotiate, and close Professional Services Agreements, Statements of Work and other contractual documentation
  • Provide support for services activities and events.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years business, implementation consulting and/or subscription sales experience with ERP solutions – HCM and Finance
  • 4+ years’ experience with Workday and/or any SaaS Human Capital and Financials solutions
  • 3+ years of Healthcare providers and/or payers industry experience

Other Qualifications:

  • Healthcare Supply Chain Management solutions experience is preferred
  • Proven success and vertical familiarity within consulting or software “as a service”
  • Strong knowledge of vendors, products, and services in Enterprise application space.
  • Business acumen and Business process knowledge in HCM and/or Financials, HCM, Payroll and/or Financials Project Delivery Experience as a PM, Architect, Consultant, Functional lead
  • Management, business, and negotiation skills
  • Proven multi-year track record of advancing strategic initiatives
  • Excellent organization skills with a strong focus on attention to detail
  • Ability to perform in a high change, fast-paced, high-intensity deadline-oriented work environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills along with content development skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with executives
  • Proven ability to align across corporate functions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience with effectively conveying the benefits of a SaaS architecture to all levels of the enterprise.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
