The Visible Alpha Product team is responsible for the delivery of new products and features that create value for our customers. The team works closely with engineering to execute, acting as the voice of the customer to build requirements and set priorities. Frequent collaboration with content, marketing, and the commercial team leads to successful product launches and capabilities that meet the needs of our clients. Team members tend to be inquisitive, highly organized, and problem solvers with an ability to communicate well and influence others. The team is passionate about building awesome solutions for clients and finding ways to make an impact.

About the Role

\n\n

The Product Manager, Excel Add-In is responsible for our Excel Add-In product that allows users to pull and refresh data from Visible Alpha directly into Excel. This serves a critical function for our user base by enabling them to build and update models that leverage our detailed forecast and historical data. In this role, you are tasked with setting the roadmap and vision for the product and working closely with engineering to execute on new features and enhancements. In addition, you’ll work to acquire customer feedback and use that to help shape future priorities. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to balance demands from multiple stakeholders. Through partnership with the commercial team, you’ll understand market needs through client interactions and soliciting input from our commercial team. Usage and other success metrics are a key component to evaluating our progress and determining future strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Ideate and define new features and capabilities, to serve needs of Sell-Side/Buy Side financial institutions.
  • \n
  • Draft user-requirements based upon customer and market inputs.
  • \n
  • Partner with Technology, UX, and Analytics teams to define and develop the Excel Add-In.
  • \n
  • Participate in agile stand-ups/scrums with geographically dispersed teams to build and iterate.
  • \n
  • Plan product/feature launches in collaboration with Marketing.
  • \n
  • Represent Visible Alpha as a subject matter expert in client meetings, industry events, etc.
  • \n
  • Represent “voice of the customer” in everything we do.
  • \n
\n\n

We'd Love For You To Have

\n\n
    \n
  • Three plus years in product management on B2B digital solutions, or other comparable experience.
  • \n
  • \nFive plus years in Financial Services, Fintech and/or Banking.\n
  • \n
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • \n
  • Prior experience as a product manager of Microsoft Excel based add-ins is a plus 
  • \n
  • Ability to work collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams in different time zones.
  • \n
  • B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or university; advanced degree such an M.B.A. is a plus.

Remuneration:

At Visible Alpha, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $138,000 to $187,000. This role is also eligible for a 20% target bonus.
