As a Senior Underwriter, you'll play a key role in reviewing the financial profile of potential borrowers and approving credit. You’ll be part of a global team of credit professionals executing our credit policy to make every loan profitable. You’ll work with account managers to develop a deep understanding of our Vendor partners’ sales funnels and assist Risk leadership with the ongoing management of existing relationships.
Responsibilities
- Spreading and analyzing customer financial information
- Analyzing a company’s financial, operational, and management strengths and weaknesses
- Assessing a company’s realized and projected cash flows
- Efficiently and accurately employing a proprietary credit policy to assign borrower ratings
- Preparing underwriting memos to distill a company’s key risk factors for our partners
- Performing secondary review and other audit functions of select underwriting case types
- Collaborating with account managers on large, complex transactions
- Partnering with the capital markets team to support portfolio reviews of existing loans
- Developing and conducting training on a recurring basis to enhance speed and accuracy
- Providing subject matter expertise on the equipment finance industry to credit and partner teams with focus on the technology sector, collateral types, and market standards for lending
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in commercial credit
- 5+ years underwriting commercial borrowers related to the equipment finance industry
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related discipline
- Strong analytical and data management capabilities
- Experience leading a team or consulting preferred
