About the Role:

We are building a brand new Home Improvement business HQ’d in Atlanta under the umbrella of Upgrade. We’ve put together an experienced leadership team in this space and now want to build a sales team who wants to contribute and learn beyond just day to day selling.
We are looking for an Account Executive to join and help build our sales team in North America. The sales team is responsible for attracting new home improvement contractors to offer their customers payment options through Upgrade.
What’s unique about this role is that you’ll be joining the Home Improvement team at the ground floor. If you’ve ever dreamed of working at an early stage start-up, this role will allow you to contribute well beyond the scope of a normal AE role, and to have a hands-on opportunity to help create a business from the ground floor. You’ll be able to do all of this under the umbrella of an established Bay-Area FinTech without the risks that most early stage start-ups face. Our future leaders will likely come from this initial group of entrepreneurial sellers, so come join us and help build something great in Atlanta.

What You’ll Do:

  • Have a desire to not only sell, but to shape go-to-market offerings and sales processes
  • Own the entire end to end sales cycle from create to close
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline within target accounts and track in Salesforce
  • Develop key relationships with your clients at the C Suite level and cultivate lasting relationships with customers
  • Refine and deliver sales presentations to customers
  • Consistently overachieve targets through a customer-obsessed approach
  • Engage in and champion the proper culture and processes for a motivated, balanced, and highly efficient team capable of scaling up at later stages of organizational maturity
  • Clearly articulate and demonstrate our value proposition, creating excitement and enthusiasm among prospects
  • Regularly iterate messaging that will scale our outbound prospecting engine
  • Partner with the Sales and Customer Success leadership teams to develop account-based sales strategies to uncover value for all go-to-market department leaders
  • Drive activity using multiple channels and resources inside and outside the organization. Prospect and generate relationships with new customers
  • Adopt and execute high-velocity selling methodologies
  • Have a passion for driving customer adoption and satisfaction

What We Look For:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in SaaS or Channel full sales cycles or highly relatable functions
  • Interest in not just performing the AE role but in helping shape a new offering’s go-to-market
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of time
  • Experience in developing trusted relationships with new customers
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
  • Self-driven and track record in exceeding goals
  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams to succeed in managing projects and deal cycles of all sizes
  • Adaptability - you understand that change is constant, and you embrace it. You’re agile and resilient. You move quickly and encourage continued improvement
  • Strong work ethic and competitive mindset. You always want to be at the top of the leaderboard

What We Offer You:

  • Competitive salary and stock option plan
  • 100% paid coverage of medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Flexible PTO
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Paid parental leave
  • Health & wellness initiatives
