Key job responsibilities
- Clearly articulate Spotter brand vision from event ideation through completion internally and with third party production vendors to create best-in-class experiences that bring joy to creators and partners
- Lead the execution of multiple types of events, activations, and special projects. Examples include in-person events, experiential activations, livestream events, hybrid & virtual events, panel presentations, conventions, and trade events
- Be a strong cross-functional collaborator who will work across all divisions to meet individual department priorities and reach company goals
- Work closely with content development team on ideation of content from pre-production through show and post production
- Responsible for setting the standard and raising the bar for the ideation, planning, production and execution for all events
- Create an elevated experience environment where creators feel comfortable connecting with other creators over a several hour span
- Oversee vendor management and production details including creative development, permitting, fabrication, engineering, staging, security, live broadcast technology, projection, internet, catering, lighting, audio, entertainment, transportation, staffing, graphics, premiums, guest communication, seating plans, rentals, flooring, décor, photo capture, and travel or hotel accommodations
- Oversee event finances including forecasting, budget management, vendor payments, tracking, and closeout
- Maintain thorough project tracking documents such as budgets, workback schedules, run of show, talent & executive communications, inventories, invite and attendee lists, COVID safety documents, security plans, etc.
- Negotiate all vendors hired, and facilitate their contract and payments with legal and accounting
- Bring and continue to build extensive relationships with event production teams, trade shows, conventions, venues, vendors, and more
- Create a production playbook to scale community events, sponsorships and engagement across our creator community
- Clearly develop and track measurable event KPIs and OKRs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 8-10+ years of experience in event production
- Proven history of collaborating across multiple disciplines to meet event goals (marketing, creative, operations, sales, finance etc.)
- Ability to create presentations, budgets, run of show documents, etc.
- Ability to communicate clearly while operating in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive and proven experience producing in-person events, planning, production, execution and reconciliation
- Experience in building and scaling large member communities in-person and virtually
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong skills with Excel, Powerpoint, Google Sheets, Google Slides and other G Suite and Microsoft Office products
- Experience using project management tools and registration portal software for event management
- Experience working in the creator industry and/or with influencers is a plus
- Self-motivated, strategic creative worker with a drive for excellence, always looking beyond the available options when up against roadblocks
- A strong contributor in a high growth environment, no task is too big or too small
- You are constantly thinking about iterating on our systems by asking "how can we do this better?”
