Sr. Manager, Information Security
Q2Software
As passionate about our people as we are about our mission.
What We’re All About:
Q2 is proud of delivering our mobile banking platform and technology solutions, globally, to more than 22 million end users across our 1,300 financial institutions and fintech clients. At Q2, our mission is simple: Build strong, diverse communities by strengthening their financial institutions. We accomplish that by investing in the communities where both our customers and employees serve and live.
What Makes Q2 Special?
Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways, including our “Circle of Awesomeness” award ceremony and day of employee celebration among others! We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, mentorship programs, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. We also know that nothing builds trust and collaboration like having fun. We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.
The Job At-A-Glance:
You’ll be directly managing talented engineers in our security engineering team. This team is responsible for implementing security controls across a variety of control areas that support Q2’s overall information security program including identity and access management, data loss prevention, cloud security controls and more. Many of these controls are operated and fully managed by the security engineering team while others are shared responsibilities with other appropriate cross functional teams that support our various lines of business. You’ll have the opportunity to drive significant impact as Q2 seeks to operate securely while embracing a global workforce, deploying our products in a distributed-cloud environment and operating at a massive scale that supports the banking and financial services industries.
A Typical Day:
Much of what you’ll be doing is guiding the team through workflow management, allocating resources, prioritizing efforts, and clearing blockers as the team iterates through two-week-long sprints. You’ll also be working collaboratively with security architects and leadership to align on new initiatives such as zero trust initiatives, building business investment cases and focused on achieving high ROI outcomes. You’ll coach the team members to ensure that they’re meeting your expectations and delivering on the tasks you set forth. You’ll be expected to set the bar high for your team – define and drive quarterly OKRs, and produce team metrics that measure your business and focus on outcomes.
