What We’re Looking For
We’re looking to fintech-ize the capital markets and bring on an individual to play a vital role in its development. This is not a traditional syndication role and we’re looking for a resourceful, forward-thinking individual who can successfully navigate the intersection of technology and loan syndication. The Director of Business Development will be focused on identifying prospects, pitching and providing the deal team with fully vetted opportunities. The products we have to offer are far and wide and this candidate will have familiarity with everything from financial assets to SaaS technology. This successful candidate will be primarily focused on cultivating relationships with banks and credit union investors in an effort to democratize investment opportunities and analytical tools. Above all, we are looking for a team-oriented, passionate individual who brings to bear a long-term growth mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify new investor prospects
- Collaborate with marketing to generate prospects & inbound inquires
- Own the top of the funnel of our sales pipeline through outreach, nurturing leads and prioritize opportunities
- Maintain investor pipeline and CRM
- Develop a deep understanding of our offerings and be able to effectively pitch these opportunities to prospects
- Research new emerging market segments
- Provide the deal team and tech team real time feedback and market insights
- Craft and maintain presentations and other sales collateral
- Cross-sell other products within the Cross River ecosystem
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience working in a related business development, sales or financial consulting role
- Established network of c-suite community banking relationships
- Bachelor's Degree (a degree in STEM discipline is preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced PowerPoint skills and Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience using Salesforce
- Desire to pursue a career in sales and the motivation required to achieve goals
- Strong project management abilities, including the ability to juggle multiple deliverables simultaneously.

- Ability to take constructive feedback and adapt
- Willingness to think outside the box and craft creative solutions
- Ability to persevere and overcome adversity

Salary Range: $180,000.00-$215,000.00
