What we’re looking for

We are looking for a Healthcare Analyst/Associate to join our Healthcare Lending team at Cross River. This role reports directly to the Head of Healthcare Underwriting and Portfolio Management. As the Analyst, you will assist in the full cycle of transactional execution, including preparing deal prescreens, internal credit memoranda, and managing a portfolio of healthcare loans alongside more senior bankers.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze credit and financial information for prospects and existing clients;
  • Build financial models to support financing transactions;
  • Participate in preparing credit memos for new and existing loans;
  • Assist with the legal documentation and closing of new loans;
  • Monitor borrower deliverables and track covenant compliance;
  • Prepare risk rating evaluations and portfolio level credit monitoring;
  • Complete special projects on an ad hoc basis;
  • Communicate and interact with prospects, borrowers, internal team members and lending partners.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a credit analysis, loan underwriting or portfolio management role with a strong preference in healthcare finance;
  • High proficiency in financial statement analysis and Excel-based modeling;
  • Demonstrates strong judgment and sound credit skills;
  • Strong oral and written communications skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Detailed-oriented and self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic;
  • Well organized and able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office;
  • Professional integrity.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in finance or accounting or similar post-degree work experience
