Neo Financial is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join the team in Calgary, AB. This role will support the payroll function and ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time. As a member of the People team, this position will work closely with our Senior Payroll Specialist to ensure exceptional quality of output and an optimal employee experience.
What you'll be doing:
- Assist in full cycle payroll processing of full-time, part-time, and temporary contract employees
- Responsible for all year-end payroll and regulatory filing requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable provincial and federal legislation
- Assist in the administration of our employee equity program
- Coordinate with our payroll/equity/HRIS systems and HR to ensure proper data management of systems and transfer of payroll data. Troubleshoot any issues with data file feeds ensure accurate data is processed
- Assist Sr Payroll Specialist in Preparing salaries and benefits reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis, such as FTE reporting and Stats Canada/Service Canada reporting
- Answer employee queries regarding compensation and benefits, and escalating issues as required
Who we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle payroll and benefits administration
- HRIS and payroll experience of more than 500 employees preferred, ideally in a fast-paced industry
- Experience with employee stock option plans considered an asset
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce considered an asset
- Ability to understand and document processes and procedures
- You’re comfortable working with autonomy and take ownership over your work
- You're Organized and detail-oriented, with familiarity in handling confidential information
