The Role

We are seeking a NOC Technician to join our talented and rapidly growing team. As a NOC technician, you will join the Network Operations Center which is responsible for monitoring and managing Metropolis’ network and service delivery as well as managing the identification, analysis and resolution of service impacting issues.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and management of Metropolis’ network of computer vision hardware

  • Monitoring the Metropolis platform for performance related issues

  • Managing automated alerts from multiple systems and ensuring the right teams are notified of issues

  • Investigating issues with edge compute systems, cameras and computer vision systems

  • Managing incidents that occur throughout the system and network

  • Documenting issues and processes as necessary

  • Communicating effectively with internal teams regarding network status, incidents, and resolutions

Requirements

  • 1-2 years working with Linux or computer vision systems

  • 1-2 years experience working with routers, firewalls & switches

  • Experience working in network operations

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Self-motivated to overcome challenges and identify new opportunities for process improvement

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Scripting and coding experience is a bonus

  • Basic computer skills required

  • Ability to work independently and under intense pressure

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.

  • Weekend Availability

  • Location flexible, but must be able to work ET or CT hours
