We are making the giving process more inclusive by empowering people to leverage their everyday spending to generate partner-funded donations every time they shop. Givebacks members can choose from over 1M participating causes from their local school or animal shelter, to national charitable organizations.
We are looking for a product owner to join our growing team. As a product owner you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that the development team is working on the most valuable and important features, and acting as the primary point of contact between the development team and the stakeholders. You’ll work closely with the development team to ensure that product features are delivered on time and to the desired quality, and are responsible for ensuring that the product meets the needs of the users and the business.
What You’ll Do:
Organize and manage the backlog for the Givebacks product:
Define and prioritize the product backlog, working closely with the stakeholders to understand their requirements and priorities.
Manage daily product schedules, objectives, and product backlog, while setting priorities according to customer expectations.
Ensure that the development team is working on the most valuable and important features, and that the product backlog is constantly updated and refined.
Act as the primary point of contact between the development team and the stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and engaging them in the development process.
Develop and manage requirements in accordance with customer needs and product roadmap:
Capture user needs and user stories to define product requirements and develop the product strategy.
Work with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to develop product requirements.
Work closely with the development team to ensure that product features are delivered on time and to the desired quality, and that the team has a clear understanding of the product requirements.
Develop strong understanding of customer needs and competitive landscape
Be the communication link between the customer and the development team. The product owner is the embodiment of the customer's voice.
Monitor the market and competitor landscape to ensure that the product remains competitive and relevant.
Contribute to product roadmap and project planning
Actively collaborate with the COO and to define product priorities and roadmap.
What You Bring:
2-4 years of experience in software product development
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Business.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working with Agile development teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions.
Experience working with software development tools such as Jira and ZenHub.
Knowledge of software development processes and practices, with experience in product management, project management, or software development.
Experience and preference working in early stage start-ups
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
