We're searching for a Senior Financial Analyst with expertise in SQL, financial modeling, and executive communication. You will delve deep into cost analysis concerning our esteemed network partners, including Visa, Mastercard, and various banking institutions. Moreover, you'll be entrusted with crafting and presenting persuasive decks to both our internal teams and external partners, including our executive leadership.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide actionable insights on cost dynamics associated with our network and bank partners.
- Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze financial data, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost modeling.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand the nuances of partnership agreements and their financial implications.
- Develop and maintain financial models to project and track costs, analyzing variances, and pinpointing potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Craft and present compelling decks to internal teams, external partners, and executive leadership, effectively communicating complex financial insights in an understandable and actionable manner.
- Engage and manage relationships with external partners through data-driven presentations, fostering trust and facilitating informed decision-making.
- Stay abreast with the latest trends in the financial analysis domain, ensuring Marqeta's practices remain at the forefront of industry standards.
- Continuously refine and optimize processes to ensure the utmost efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, with a deep focus on cost analysis and modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL with the capability to manage large datasets.
- A solid grasp of financial principles and their application in a dynamic business environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with proven expertise in crafting and presenting financial decks to a diverse audience, including senior leadership.
- Strong analytical mindset, coupled with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, readily adapting to evolving business requirements.
- Prior experience with the financial intricacies of payment networks or banking partners is a substantial advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:
- National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
- Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
- Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position is:
- National: $81,600 - $108,800
- Premium: $91,800 - $122,400
- Premium Plus: $102,000- $136,000
