Who You Are
The Corporate Insurance Manager will be a part of the Finance team as an advisory partner to stakeholders on key business initiatives and act as the project management lead for the function. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Accounting.
Your Success Profile
What You Will Work On
- Lead the overall management of the company and its subsidiaries insurance programs with a concentration on risk identification, risk transfer and risk retention techniques.
- Analyze company insurance needs and provide recommendations for optimum coverage, costs, and claim settlements.
- Develop relationships with insurance brokers and the business to gather & review renewal information for Property & Casualty insurance programs.
- Evaluate insurance premiums and rate structures to determine if they are adequate to cover potential losses.
- Present insurance terms and coverage to Audit Committee
- Review policy terms and recommend changes to improve coverage or reduce costs based on new laws or regulations or changing circumstances in the industry.
- Collaborate with the legal team in response to claims filed by the company to determine if they should be paid or denied based on the provisions in the policy.
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the organization by being a trusted advisor, facilitator and creative problem solver.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in P & C insurance or program management role with and a demonstrated ability to seamlessly flex between being an independent contributor and a collaborative team member Demonstrated successful experience in business, functional and people management
- Proven ability to execute and deliver concurrently on various projects within timelines
- Clear and concise, written and verbal communication, strong negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and G-Suite
- Familiarity with business systems such as Netsuite, Salesforce, etc. is helpful
- Knowledge of SQL and reporting tools such as Tableau is beneficial
- Ability and desire to be hands on in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
- Ability to execute on today's challenges while maintaining a forward-thinking mindset around where we'll be six months, a year, and several years from now
The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $122,000.00 to $134,200.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
