About the Role

iCapital is looking to hire a Head of Corporate Communications, Senior Vice President, to head up the strategy and execution of our Internal and External communications, Public Relations, and Content development. This role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer. As part of the Marketing team, this role will work closely with Senior Leaders and collaborate with departments and colleagues across the business to prioritize, produce, and deliver key messages across multiple channels. iCapital is an innovative and people-first business, and the Head of Corporate Communications will set the standard for the firms comprehensive messaging both internally and externally and act as a thought leader for the firm and its various communication outlets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and implement a broad range of activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to the Chief Executive Officer and collaborate closely with him to understand his communication style, to create messages that authentically represent the CEO’s voice and convey key messages in internal communications and public announcements.
  • Lead the firm’s efforts across Public Relations, Internal/External Communications, and Content creation and develop and execute strategic communications plans that advance business objectives, enhance corporate recognition, and support the scaling of the brand.
  • Manage relationships with key media outlets and journalists and monitor and analyze the firm’s media coverage to inform future media relations strategies.
  • Oversee the creation and management of the company communications calendar, incorporating all corporate programs and events as well as global holidays, celebrations, and heritage months.
  • Oversee and manage communications to employees in a variety of print, digital, and interpersonal ways. Own the channels of delivery: including but not limited to the intranet (the Hub), email, town halls, webinars, in-person events, and so on. Partner with the wider marketing team (Digital, Events, Design, Creative) to help deliver these.
  • Partner with the Human Resources team, as well as other teams within the company to create engaging, clear, and culturally aligned employee communications.
  • Manage direct reports, with the ability to scale the team, both in the US and globally, as demand grows.
  • Prepare talking points as needed for internal and external events, virtual and in-person.
  • Implement processes that drive long-term planning, high-quality content gathering, and rigorous execution across all aspects of communications.
  • Determine which KPI’s will be used to track and measure the success and progress of the Corporate Communications program.
  • Foster a culture of creativity within the Corporate Communications team, encouraging out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of communication, setting a benchmark for the entire company to follow, and ensuring consistent messaging, tone, and branding across all internal and external channels.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of direct experience with Internal/External communications, Public Relations and Content, with a demonstrated ability of executing in a fast paced environment
  • Sound judgement, with the ability to balance short- and long-term priorities in a disciplined manner
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and calmly adapts to change when needed
  • Experience in financial services, technology, fintech, or other fast-moving industries is a must
  • Management experience is essential; experience building, mentoring, and coaching a broad global communications team is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong ability for personal interaction
  • Self-motivated with robust project management and process development skills
  • Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $180,000 to $240,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
