About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team and help us build the next generation of financial tools and services. You will be responsible for managing a team of talented software engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products. You will be expected to be hands-on and a full-stack developer with expertise in web and mobile applications development.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Establish engineering standards, policies, and procedures to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively
• Participate in technical refinements and code reviews to ensure that the team is adhering to best practices and industry standards
• Participate as developer in key, business critical projects (if needed)
• Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of software products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and QA to ensure alignment and effective delivery of software products
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and ensure that the team is continuously improving their skills and knowledge
• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and feedback on their work

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on full-stack development preferably in the area of financial services.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a team of software engineers
• Extensive experience working with Java/Python and React technologies
• In-depth knowledge of front-end development
• Expertise in API based integrations using JSON and REST methodologies
• Thorough understanding of Oauth based authentication models
• Knowledge/experience in building cloud native solutions.
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Strong technical background and good foundation in systems architecture and object oriented programming.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing software engineering talent
• Experience in a peak performance organization, preferably a product oriented startup
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality software products
