We are looking for a Backend Engineering leader to design, architect, and engineer our FinTech Platform. Do you want to build the back-end services that will power a financial revolution? In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers in the design, development, and maintenance of our financial software applications. You will also be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of our applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of developers in the design, development, and maintenance of our financial software applications.
• Responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining complex financial applications using programming languages (Python, Node, Java, etc), Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis), Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design solutions that meet those needs.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of our applications.
• Implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment.
• Continuously improve the development processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Partner with tech and product peers to navigate and drive successful delivery of work.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years experience in Python (internship experience doesn’t apply), with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• At least 1+ years experience with cloud computing (preferably AWS)
• 1+ years in leading and managing a team of developers.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including testing, version control, and continuous integration and deployment.
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to learn quickly, take ownership, and provide direction on projects that involve various functions and levels of professionals
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with front-end development using React or Vue.js.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with machine learning and data analytics using Python libraries.
