We're in an incredibly exciting period of growth as we continue to scale internationally and are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer who wants to be part of this journey.

What you'll do...

• Write libraries, SDKs, and APIs that the product development teams will use.
• Ensure our product development teams can live by the rule “you build it, you run it”.
• Own CI and CD pipelines, software, and methodologies.
• Automate safely deploying software, utilizing CI and unit/integration testing.
• Own Cloud Networking, Logging, Metrics, Alerting and other product supporting infrastructures.
• Design and build integrations with third parties to add new value-added services.
• Manage and steer the cloud footprint of Fidel.
• Build and own region agnostic infrastructure as code templates.
• Know how to prevent breaking changes, discovering solutions that are backward compatible.
• Maintain and nurture a cohesive architecture on a rapidly expanding startup.

Experienced profile

• Technical – You are able to write high-quality code in a programming language (e.g. Javascript, Go) and have a deep familiarity across cutting-edge technologies; you are able to write high-quality infrastructure as code; you have a deep familiarity across main cloud providers; you have solid knowledge in: TCP, IP, HTTP, DNS; you have solid knowledge of SSL certificate and certificate chains; you know large scale data, distributed systems, micro-services, messaging/queuing systems; you know how to navigate AWS services or similar cloud environments; you’re at home with observability and alerting systems; you know how to implement the microservice chassis pattern without breaking a sweat.
• Product – As an early-stage company, we're most interested in engineers who understand how to craft raw software projects into compelling user-facing products.
• Entrepreneurial – Comfortable in a dynamic startup environment.
• Leadership - You have worked on and helped lead a large project to success and understand the day-to-day intricacies of working in an agile collaboration environment.
• Communication - Clear, enthusiastic and communicator. Able to lead and inspire teams and our customers.
• Remote First - Experience working and communicating with a remote team in an effective asynchronous way.
• Growth Mindset - ability to adapt, learn new things and do it with a positive mindset.

Junior Profile

• Technical – You have experience with a programming language; you have experience with infrastructure as code (terraform); you are familiar with main cloud providers (particularly AWS); you have knowledge in: TCP, IP, HTTP, DNS; you have knowledge of SSL certificate and certificate chains; you are aware of large scale data, distributed systems, micro-services, messaging/queuing systems.
• Product – As an early-stage company, we're most interested in engineers who understand how to craft raw software projects into compelling user-facing products.
