Reports to: VP Emerging Businesses and Strategic Partnerships

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead and grow our recently launched credit card businesses at Enova. As the Head of Credit Card, you will report to a member of Enova’s executive team and be responsible for overseeing two credit card businesses, one which serves small businesses as well as a consumer focused card. You will have full P&L responsibility and accountability for product strategy, portfolio growth, managing risk and overseeing the day to day operation of the business through a dedicated credit card team, shared resources from across Enova and oversight of key external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow both credit card businesses, including product innovation, customer acquisition, and retention
  • Direct the marketing and sales strategy for both credit card businesses, channel strategy, promotions, cross sell and direct marketing campaigns
  • Manage the risk associated with the credit card businesses, including credit underwriting, fraud prevention, and portfolio management
  • Partner with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Work with the card servicer and issuing bank(s) to execute on strategic initiatives, compliance policies and ensure a good customer experience
  • Provide regular updates to senior executives on the business unit's performance, financial results, and any issues or risks that need to be addressed in order to meet the plan
  • Manage the credit card businesses' P&L including accountability for developing and managing to, financial forecasts and key financial metrics
  • Develop, lead, mentor, and manage a team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes and adjust strategies as needed to stay ahead of the competition

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, business, finance, marketing or related field
  • MBA from a top tier university is strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the credit card industry, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership experience, preferably in P&L operations or finance, and the ability to collaborate and motivate teams to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Strong understanding of customer behavior and market trends in the credit card industry
  • Experience with developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies for credit card products
