Job Description:

As a FP&A Analyst II of Credit Karma Money (“CK Money”), you will support the financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities for one of Credit Karma’s strategic businesses. You will help enable the team to deliver on financial and strategic objectives through developing complex forecasts and analyses that will guide business decisions. You should have a high sense of ownership, a natural interest in continuously improving the way the business is viewed and a strong ability to communicate with non-financially minded peers. The role will report to our Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.

What you’ll do:

Business support / decision making

  • Support cross-functional business partners in developing business cases (incl. financial models) to support investments and contract negotiations
  • Investigate and communicate financial performance variance relative to expectations, partnering with respective departments across the company to gain additional insight
  • Quantify month-over-month funnel, revenue and expense shifts by partnering with Marketing, Analytics, Business Development, Call Center, Risk and Product

Forecasting / modeling

  • Assist preparation and presentation of CK Money revenue forecast and CK Money KPIs
  • Support CK budget and forecast cycles with key business partners via owning models and driving timelines

Establishing new processes / automation

  • Drive and support the creation of reports and dashboards in BI tools such as Looker
  • Help establish and automate recurring processes towards efficient and scalable solutions
  • Support creation of standardized financial reporting frameworks to support CK Money business partners to enable data-driven decision making

Minimum Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Business or another related field
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience (experience in investment banking, FP&A, corporate finance, or high-growth companies preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, intellectually curious and a fast learner with high standards for accuracy
  • A rigorous analytical mind able to effectively communicate findings to non-financial partners
  • Previous experience establishing new processes for a fast-growing business unit with revenue and expense forecasting
  • Ability and comfort working cross-functionally
  • Extremely proficient in Excel, Powerpoint and the Google Doc suite
  • Bonus Experience: Data Visualization (e.g., Looker), SQL, understanding of neobank and FinTech industry
