Job Description
The Workplace Services Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating Facilities/building operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational and operational effectiveness of Credit Karma’s Charlotte office. This position will be an intricate part of the Workplace Service Facilities team’s day to day function.
What you’ll do:
- Manage and coordinate all incoming facilities requests and route building maintenance requests
- Walkthroughs of all conference room, storage space, common space, shower/restrooms, kitchen, print stations, office supplies stations to ensure space is well maintained
- Performs ongoing facilities maintenance inspections of public and common areas to ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations. Models company safety policies and participates in Emergency Response Team efforts
- Help coordinate new hire desks set up
- Ensure all office equipment and appliances functions property and perform monthly PMs
- Maintain relationships with building maintenance and all other facilities vendors (HVAC, janitorial, electricians etc.)
- Assist with setup for all Credit Karma events (All-hands, CKU, Meetups, Demo Day, periodic nightly events, yoga, meditation etc.)
- Maintains accurate seating/space utilization records, working with the company’s space occupancy tool (OfficeSpace)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and move around small office furniture, if needed
- Furniture assembly and installations (i.e cabinets, coat racks, shelving, tvs, monitor, monitor arms etc.)
- Light repairs (i.e loose screws, replace light bulbs)
- Build and help support office standards and documentation
- Assist Space Planner with office moves
- Assist with special projects as needed
Basic Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in Facilities in high-tech and/or start-up environment preferred
- Broad understanding of various workplace maintenance functions and able to communicate building issues of various types (i.e HVAC, plumbing, AV, networking etc.)
- Strong project management skills with a track record of completing projects successfully
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong aptitude for staying focused and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Superior multi-tasking and time-management abilities
- Self-motivated, independent, needs little supervision
- Strong attention to detail – accurate data gathering, problem-solver
- Customer-service orientation with goal of creating a great employee experience
- Availability and commitment after hours or pre-hours for moves, special events and any other activity that require company assistance
