About the Role
As the Director of Engineering in charge of our Security Applications organization, your primary role will involve leading teams of security engineers and managers. Your responsibility will be to oversee the development of various security application products, including our flagship product, Coalition Control, which focuses on attack surface management. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your position as you work closely with leaders from operations, product, design, and engineering. Together, you will ensure the effective design, implementation, development, and operations of robust security applications while fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Security Applications teams, partnering with product management to contribute to the vision and roadmap for security application initiatives
- Lead managers of teams of security engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure the teams’ success
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of security application projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, with quality and within budget
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging threats, continuously enhancing the team's knowledge and expertise in attack surface management and other areas of security engineering
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Security Applications team
- Establish strong relationships with leaders across various departments to promote cross-functional cooperation and alignment
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience (6+ years) leading security engineering projects and overseeing large groups of teams
- Strong understanding of network security and positive network security controls
- Strong people management skills, with a track record of successfully mentoring and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Deep understanding of security engineering principles, methodologies, and industry best practices
- Experience collaborating with leaders across operations, product, design, and engineering to drive alignment and achieve common goals
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset

- Coalition’s individual pay is determined on several factors, including but not limited to, location, level, skills and experience. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $270,000, and your recruiter can share more on target salary for your location during the interview process.
