Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Project Manager at BestEx Research, you will have the exciting opportunity to learn and contribute to strategic projects aimed at enhancing our electronic trading platforms, systems, and processes. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for the financial industry and project management, who is looking to gain valuable experience and grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination and management of projects focused on improving our electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, and related infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the execution of project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
• Contribute to the development of project plans, timelines, and resource allocation, under the guidance of the Chief Product Officer
• Participate in identifying potential risks, issues, and roadblocks, and support the implementation of mitigation strategies
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met effectively
• Utilize problem-solving skills to analyze challenges and contribute to innovative solutions that drive project success
• Facilitate effective communication and information sharing among project stakeholders, ensuring clear updates and expectations
• Help monitor project progress, collect relevant data, and assist in preparing status reports for senior leadership
• Contribute to change management efforts by assisting in user engagement, training, and smooth transitions to new trading platforms or processes
• Learn and contribute to process improvements by collecting feedback, analyzing processes, and suggesting enhancements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• A passion for the financial industry, electronic trading, and project management
• Some exposure to project management concepts through coursework, internships, or related experiences
• Basic understanding of electronic trading platforms, algorithmic trading, market structure, or trading technologies is a plus
• Experience or familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) is beneficial
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
