What We're Looking For
Our product designers oversee the user experience at Beam and create impactful, effective experiences that address our users needs. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our UX team and help craft multiple areas within the user experience. As a Senior Product Designer, you'll shape both new and existing product experiences across the Beam Benefits platform, including our broker portal, member experience, and mobile app. You’ll work alongside Engineering and Product teams to provide the vision and guidance of what we build, empower our user experience, and design amazing products that over 300,000 people use everyday.

What You Will Do
- Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product managers, researchers, engineers, marketers, and business leaders to find innovative, elegant, and practical solutions to complex design challenges
- Lead autonomously with influence and help shape a user-centric design vision and strategy on your team
- Facilitate design sessions, reviews, and ideation meetings that help foster creative problem-solving and innovation
- Consult with users of Beam’s products to effectively advocate for their needs and incorporate research insights into your work
- Design impactful, research-backed, and goal-oriented digital experiences
- Willingness to flex your UX writing skills and to advocate for content design - helping write clear, concise, and empathetic copy within your work
- Mentor and guide fellow UXers, fostering a growth culture and helping them to elevate their craft and expertise
What Technical Skills Will Help You Be Successful
- 5+ years of relevant work experience and a portfolio with case studies
- Proven track-record of solving complex problems and creating holistic user experiences
- Experience developing user-flows, wireframes, and functional prototypes
- Experience crafting refined visual design solutions with high proficiency in Figma and with a high attention to detail
- Ability to work within Beam’s design system and experience contributing to building and maintaining design components
- Skilled at collaborating with engineering teams to and providing detailed UI specifications, interaction design (IxD), and annotations
- Experience designing mobile applications and mobile experience using mobile-first principles and responsive design best practices, with a high fluency in iOS and Android interaction patterns
- Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate design decisions and reasoning to a wide range of audiences
- Stakeholder management skills and crafting streamlined feedback loops that foster inclusive and productive collaboration to make you and your experiences better
- Experience designing with WCAG Accessibility guidelines
- Experience using analytical tools (like Looker) and solid understanding of front-end languages (html/css)
