Archway Software is building a consumer-focused next-generation fintech application platform for our enterprise customers. Our team of software engineers, developers, and architects iterate and deploy better software, faster, by using the low-code Mendix Platform. As a member of our small but growing team, you will help build and maintain our new mobile application also built using the Mendix Platform.

As a mobile app Mendix developer, you will work directly with our product owners, solutions architects, and web app developers to build mobile applications based on UX designs. The Mendix Platform uses visual modeling to abstract long-form coding out of application development. That means, as a full-stack developer, you will leverage your experience with REST API integrations, data modeling, and thoughtful software design to deliver a compelling user experience without the need to write out a lot of code. That's not to say we can't code if we need to - the Mendix Platform is also fully extensible allowing us to develop our own React Native widgets.

(Must be interested in low-code)

Responsibilities

From day-to-day, you will primarily be responsible for the following:

  • Report to senior members of the team to understand, develop, and deliver mobile application features, functionality, UI, testing, and deployment builds for iOS and Android using the Mendix low-code platform
  • Review, provide feedback, and occasionally contribute to solution design for new features and functionality
  • Actively participate in Agile development process including sprint meetings, story point estimating, and code reviews
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships within Archway Software, and depending on the project, external vendors and clients as well
  • Work within project timelines to deliver features in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot, on occasion, problems that may arise in our production environments
  • Other duties as assigned
