ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Principal Solutions Specialist at Apex Silver, you are a subject matter expert in the investment services and/or specific areas or functions within the industry and responsible for ensuring our operations and products in alignment with industry and regulatory standards.  You will be responsible for understanding, documenting, and improving all external operational processes that impact Apex Silver services and/or solutions. You will play a key role in guiding integration initiatives between Apex Silver and Apex Clearing teams as they work to enhance data quality, controls and overall business processing -- particularly as it relates to Tax, Cost Basis and Wealth solutions. The ideal candidate will be excited to solve problems and build organizational relationships while delivering cohesive solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in specific investment services areas to operations, support, and product team members through training and documentation

• Analyze workflows and processing bottlenecks; identify and lead process improvement initiatives

• Influence stakeholders to support business projects

• Assist with project management for selected projects

• Coordinate with inter-departmental teams to produce better business outcomes

• Test business processes and recommend improvements

• Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories

• Write clear and well structured business requirements/documents

• Identify automation opportunities

• Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to understand business performance

• Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders

• Develop and maintain reporting or tracking of deliverables

• Perform data discovery, analysis and modeling

• Assist with internal training and release elevation

• Collaborate with product manager on roadmap planning and prioritization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred

• 10+ years experience as senior business analyst (or equivalent experience)

• Financial Services and brokerage back-office operations experience required

• Desire to dig into problems and collaborate with product owners and developers to solve

• "Roll-up your sleeves and help get the job done” attitude

• Team player & self-starter

• Great analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities

• Superior presentation and negotiation skills

• Adaptable and capable of working in fast paced environments
