ABOUT THIS ROLE

Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a Business Development Strategic Initiatives Analyst. The analyst will be responsible for managing the formation and implementation of all initiatives within the business development organization. This role will ensure our business development team not only focuses on areas with the greatest impact, but also that it is well positioned to be successful against their goals. This role will be an imperative part of bringing Apex into the next stage of its growth as we look towards deepening relationships with existing clients, breaking into new markets, and using new technology.

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Lead long-term strategic initiatives from inception to completion across various lines of business at Apex - focusing on MSPOTs (Mission, Strategy, Plays, Targets, Stretch, Omissions) and including market, product & data analysis research, storytelling, reporting, and more. 

  • Collaborate across various departments and stakeholders to drive business operations strategy including, but not limited to, organizational structure, team size, interactions between teams, and coordination between the business and tech organizations.

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the organization’s strategic plan including prioritization between retail business segments and the rest of Apex and firm communication strategies 

  • Responsible for team efficiency standards including meeting protocols, information workflows and productivity statistics 

  • Own conference planning & execution including year-over-year strategy for Apex’s public presence, meeting coordination across attendees, preparation of hosted events, and more

  • Assist with general corporate hygiene tasks 

  • Drive firm wide strategic education to ensure employees across all positions not only understand but are bought into and excited about our direction as a company

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to connect patterns and information in order to quickly understand and solve complex problems 

  • Comfort bringing structure and organization to ambiguous situations and challenges

  • Strong organizational skills

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in project management, business analytics or related role 

  • Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully leading complex initiatives

  • Comfort with basic financial modeling

 

Work Environment:

  • This opportunity operates in an office environment 3 days a week in Austin, TX

  • Willingness to travel 1 - 2 times per month to visit other offices, clients, prospects, and events

  • Regularly lead live and virtual meetings

  • This job requires the use of a computer and common business software (e.g. Microsoft 365, etc.)
