POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis. This includes ensuring each reconciliation has supporting documentation, subledger detail agrees to corporate general ledger, and significant outstanding items are appropriately documented. Also responsible for sending the final trial balance to corporate accounting and providing quarterly reconciliations to controllers and auditors for review.

• Technical skills to include:

• General understanding of GAAP

• Ability to research accounting issues with guidance

• Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and general ledger/reporting systems

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of related accounting experience including auditing, industry accounting or closing activities.

• Insurance industry experience a plus.
