Job Summary:
This position is responsible for all phases of the payroll function, including leadership and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate the work of Payroll Administrators and Senior Accounting Associate.
Audit client payroll set-ups for the department.
Contact clients to collect pertinent payroll information for set-up and implementation.
Review payroll processes and implement best practices.
Set-up client General Ledger accounting.
Train clients on web entry of payroll.
Review client payrolls to ensure compliance (minimum wage, overtime, deductions).
Process payroll for assigned clients.
Receive payroll and check Friend Of Court orders and garnishments.
Calculate and verify taxes.
Answer client and employee questions regarding their payroll.
Answer questions presented by payroll administrators.
Supervise day to day operations of the Payroll department.
Compute and review W-2 forms.
Ensure proper maintenance of payroll records.
Management of external service provider relationships relating to payroll.
Interpret and disseminate information on regulatory matters.
Conduct training as needed.
Supervisor W2 and year-end process.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field is required.
Minimum of 6 years of previous payroll experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisor capacity.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations and agencies.
Other Qualifications:
Ability to interpret regulations and laws and disseminate information.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines. Strong verbal, written and public
speaking skills and interpersonal skills.
Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.
Ability to work with and lead a team.
