Job Summary:
As a Commercial Lines Producer, you are responsible for growing the book of business. You should be comfortable with generating new Commercial P&C clients by prospecting, making phone calls, utilizing a referral base, and/or other unique methods. Equally importantly, you should provide excellent service and communicating regularly with existing customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop sales and marketing strategies
Achieve new business sales goals
Demonstrate technical knowledge
Perform thorough due diligence to make recommendations
Retain existing book of business through regular communication & excellent service
Travel regularly to meet with prospects and existing clients
Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, clients and peers
Resolve client inquiries and/or complaints swiftly
Comply with insurance standards and regulations
Review emails within 24 hours and client voicemails within 2-4 hours and respond accordingly.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years of commercial producer experience, required
Active P & C license, required
Small to Middle Market sales experience, required
Extensive knowledge of P & C insurance, required; Agriculture experience preferred.
Technology Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficiency in Applied Epic (or similar agency management system) for tracking leads and activities

Ability to contribute to a collaborative environment by consistently demonstrating teamwork, high motivation, positive behavior and effort to achieve goals and objectives

Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy
The ability to multi-task, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude
Ability to Moderate stress due to regular deadlines and daily challenges
