Acrisure New York is seeking candidates for the Sr. Vice President, Commercial Practice Leader position.

About The Role:


Reporting to the Managing Partner, this role will lead our established practice along with collaboration with the executive sales and operational leadership. The position will develop and implement strategies and initiatives for complex middle market accounts within specialty industries. This role is integral to the strategic build-out of the platforms practice and expertise. It offers variety in the day-to-day including coaching and collaboration with the production and marketing team as a resource to the placement of new and current accounts. A proven record of accomplishment of business acumen and technical insurance knowledge delivered through a consultative approach is critical to the success of this role. The role will serve as a resource to the production team and will participate and interact with the platform's clients’ risk managers and C-Suite executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement effective alternative and traditional strategies for complex middle market commercial accounts
  • Collaborate and implement placement, product, and technology strategies to enhance client retention and organic growth
  • Lead key carrier relationships to enhance client policy coverage and platform revenue
  • Lead and implement strategy on exposure and placement analysis promoting best outcomes for client retention and organic growth
  • Collaborate with sales and business development leadership on strategic value proposition to drive organic growth
  • Key contributor to the overall commercial insurance sales and operational budget
  • Promote and interact with sales and operational leadership with the overall talent recruitment of key positions
  • Leadership and development of operational management team
  • Foster a positive, engaging work environment to attract and retain talent

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years technical insurance experience with commercial insurance
  • placement of middle market and large accounts
  • Minimum of 5 years successfully leading/managing a team
  • Minimum of 5 years in a middle market commercial production role
  • Experience with a variety of middle and large market complex commercial accounts to include large deductibles, captives, retro and enterprise risk management accounts.
  • A powerful desire to learn and take on challenging work while coaching, leading, and managing
  • Proven history of increasing revenue
  • Commanding presentation skills, public speaking, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal production staff with the ability to co-present to C-suite clients
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Dedicated team player who promotes and creates a positive culture
  • Proactive client-focused approach with effective negotiation skills
  • Works with high urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional team-builder with strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly skilled in planning and executing initiatives
  • Ability to translate financial data to make budget decisions and recommendations
  • Demonstrate strong change management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in digital techniques, methods, and tools including Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), with experience collaborating efficiently in M365 (OneDrive, MS Teams, SharePoint).
  • Must have an elevated level of problem-solving ability.
  • Must be self-motivated and driven
  • Ability to travel up to 60%

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Property & Casualty license required

Pay Details:

Annual Salary: $150,000 - $250,000
