Job Summary:

DeSanctis Insurance Agency is currently looking to enhance our team with the addition of a Commercial Insurance Auto Specialist. Our Agency specializes in providing insurance and bonding for construction related risks. This position is responsible for servicing the Automobile Insurance needs for middle market and small business commercial insurance accounts with a focus on contractors and their vehicles.

Our office has been located in Woburn, MA since 1974.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain client relationships, and work with Producers and Account Managers/CSRs to ensure that all automobile coverage and service needs are met.

  • Review commercial automobile policies, make appropriate coverage and limits recommendations to Producers, Account Managers/CSRs and clients, as needed.

  • Assemble information and applications provided by Producers or Account Managers/CSRs to prepare new business submissions.

  • Assemble policy, coverage, and exposure information in conjunction with Producers and Account Managers/CSRs to prepare account submissions, and market to carriers.

  • Review, verify accuracy, and prepare invoices for incoming auto policies and endorsements of assigned accounts.

  • Certificates of Insurance will be handled primarily by other Commercial support specialists.

  • Cancellations, reinstatements, and the necessary follow-up are handled by another support specialist.

  • Claims processing is handled by a claims specialist.

  • Maintain the accuracy of data in the Agency Management System and the Document Management System.

  • Contribute to meeting agency production goals by assisting Producers and Account Managers/CSRs and by providing superior customer service. (There are no new business or existing account rounding production requirements.)

  • No premium collection responsibility as that is handled by the Producer for each account.

  • Conduct business knowledgeably and professionally demonstrating an understanding of the insurance business and the impact of your decisions on the client and the agency.

  • Keep informed of changes and trends within the industry to anticipate and respond to clients’ needs.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience processing automobile insurance and Massachusetts RMV paperwork.

  • Knowledge of automobile coverage language is preferred.

  • Personal Lines CSRs looking to transition to commercial lines are welcome to apply.

  • A producer license is not currently required.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills, well organized, ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, work well both independently and in a team environment.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, and Applied Systems EPIC, preferred. However, if you are a TAM user, you’ll easily make the transition. We converted to Epic Cloud on 8/1/21. The available training is outstanding, and support is readily available.
