Position Overview:

As a Personal Lines Account Manager for the Ritter Agency in Tracy, CA, you will play a pivotal role in our insurance agency by providing exceptional service to our clients and ensuring their personal insurance needs are met. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal lines insurance accounts, including home, auto, renters, and umbrella policies. The ideal candidate is customer-oriented, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication and organizational skills.


Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned personal lines clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs, provide expert advice, and ensure overall satisfaction.

Policy Renewals and Review: Proactively manage policy renewals, reaching out to clients in a timely manner to discuss their coverage options. Conduct regular policy reviews to identify potential gaps in coverage and recommend appropriate changes.

New Business Development: Work closely with the sales team to support new business initiatives. Collaborate on identifying potential cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts.

Quoting and Proposal Generation: Prepare accurate insurance quotes for new and existing clients. Present customized insurance proposals that address their specific requirements and explain coverage options in a clear and understandable manner.

Policy Issuance and Documentation: Efficiently process policy documentation, endorsements, and other related paperwork. Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry regulations and company guidelines.

Claims Assistance: Assist clients with the claims process, acting as an intermediary between clients and insurance carriers. Provide guidance and support during claims filing to expedite resolution.

Market Research and Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, coverage changes, and new insurance products. Maintain a strong knowledge base to offer informed advice to clients.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with underwriters, claims representatives, and other internal teams to address client needs and resolve any policy-related issues promptly.

Client Retention Strategies: Implement strategies to enhance client retention and satisfaction. Engage in proactive communication with clients to ensure long-term loyalty.


  • CA Insurance License

  • 3-5 Years of Personal Lines Account Manager experience

  • Proficiency in insurance products and coverages related to personal lines (home, auto, renters, umbrella, etc.).

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Knowledge of insurance software and rating systems including EPIC is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business goals.

  • Ethical, reliable, and able to maintain client confidentiality.

Pay Details:

Annual Salary: $55,000 - $58,000
