Job Summary:
The International Accounting Manager will be responsible for the accounting close process. Duties will include identifying areas of improvement, developing and implementing accounting efficiencies, review of monthly financial statements from the international business segments as part of the consolidation process, implementing and maintaining Best-in-Class internal controls, guiding the integration of different accounting systems within the business segment of Acrisure Partners into the corporate ERP, and ensuring compliance with monthly close, variance analysis and internal control processes. The International Accounting Manager will be an integral part of the Acrisure corporate accounting team and will be a trusted team member, partner, and advisor. Responsibilities:
Ownership of the corporate monthly reporting process specific to Acrisure International Partners including loading financial data, assisting with the review of the financial statements while meeting corporate deadlines for both internal and external financial statement customers.
Ownership and oversight of the monthly close process including preparation of complex journal entries, review and approval of accounting team journals.
Review and analyze account reconciliations for Acrisure Partners and corporate holding company accounts.
Backup team and assist in a variety of functional areas including Intangible and Fixed Assets, International Accounting, Intercompany Analysis and Billing, Lease Accounting, Foreign Currency Translation/Remeasurement Analysis, and other areas specific to the Acrisure business model.
Assist in ensuring Acrisure Partner financial statements are compliant with US GAAP, IFRS, local regulatory and corporate policy requirements.
Serve as the subject matter expert and a liaison on all accounting matters related to Acrisure Partners and corporate holding companies including technical accounting research and documentation.
Assist with the development of accounting training materials and leading sessions with Acrisure Partners or accounting teams for continuous knowledge transfer and development.
Liaison with other third-party accounting and consulting firms as required for external audit, tax, and regulatory reporting including completing additional adhoc analysis and/or reporting as needed.
Work closely with the Acrisure M&A, FP&A, Insurance, Treasury and Corporate Accounting teams regarding accounting, reporting, analysis and/or developments related to Acrisure Partners and holding companies.
Develop, lead, manage, and mentor a team as needed.
Requirements:
Technical skills must include a broad understanding of IFRS and proficient knowledge of US GAAP.
Ability to research accounting issues with limited guidance
Multi-company and currency financial statement consolidation and translation experience
Ability to collaborate with peers in a multi-cultural environment to ensure the timely preparation of the monthly financial statements
Strong and effective written and verbal skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proven ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and a constant state of change

Strong knowledge of commonly used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to quickly get up to speed on accounting issues across different business segments
Strong proficiency with Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and general ledger/reporting systems
Previous work experience with common general ledger and reporting systems
Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley requirements and Internal Controls
Knowledge of Lease Accounting and Revenue Recognition
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required, CPA/CMA or MBA desired
5+ years related international accounting experience in a leadership position required
