Job Title: Account Executive

Required Work Hours: 35
Target Compensation: $75,000-$100,000
Summary: Responsible for service, policy maintenance, and marketing of an assigned portion of accounts. This position will be expected to provide prompt, accurate, and courteous support service to clients and coworkers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary contact for clients and underwriters, including meeting with clients as needed.
Check policy for accuracy (comparing it to the proposal and agency management system) and handle corrections according to agency guidelines, unless delegated to Service Assistant.
Review contracts for insurance requirements. If offered/recommended coverage has been rejected, obtain appropriate documentation,
Receive, review and document all client and underwriter correspondence (phone, email, mail, fax, etc.) in agency management system, manage the change request and endorsement process according to agency guidelines,
Review follow up list on a weekly basis and take appropriate action, manage the cancellation process, and (potential) missed expiration report according to agency guidelines,
Ensure accounts are renewed prior to expiration (prepare renewal exposure requests, draft proposals, renewal documents, marketing as appropriate, premium financing etc.) and all steps documented, according to agency guidelines,
Prepare certificates, evidences, and proofs of coverage and forward to appropriate parties, or send requests to CSR
Transact agency bill items. Ensure proper coding of agency commission, producer commission, service structure and agency structure (the “service and billing tab”), review and take action on all account receivable items according to agency guidelines. Solve transaction issues with carriers and accounting department.
Provide back-up coverage for department team members.

Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or equivalent. Possess and maintain active New York Brokers License. Individual should have a working knowledge of commercial insurance with 3-5 years of experience.
Computer Skills – Demonstrated strong PC skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of Agency Management Systems.
Other Qualifications – Must be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and be efficient with excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must also have the ability to effectively work with others. Must have a high level of problem-solving skills. A positive, team-oriented attitude is necessary to effectively work with a large variety of personalities.

High finger dexterity while performing data entry 75% of the time. Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.

Work stations are cubicles with moderately high sides. Travel is not common however there may be some limited travel required, typically less than 25%.
Pay Details:
